I just want to say that it was very well written, raw and emotional, human.
In terms of fvn plots, it is easily a standout to me. I've been thinking more and more about his character, and his story, and the more I do the more I appreciate him and how the writers handled it all.
As someone who was initially a bit skeptical of this visual novel, I can safely say I don't regret my time I spent reading this at all, instead I'm very grateful to have read a story like this. It has certainly etched its way into my heart I can say for sure at least, thank you.
SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE LATEST BUILD^^
I only just now picked up this visual novel, and oh boy I can say now I was in for a doozy.
I recently came across it while scrolling through the creator pages of past visual novels I've read, and at first I didn't quite like the prospect of the theme. I am now glad that I have stuck around to let this all soak into my character.
While the opportunity to fully play through all the routes isn't possible for me at the moment(I'm a busy bee), I have gone through the process of finishing what is the full Carlos route in the current demo. This was probably the best route I could have possibly started with and ended with.
I can't embellish this enough, but the writing and effort you all put into the storytelling and creation of character and their relationships that web out and connect at different points is amazing. Oftentimes I found myself relating to the diverse cast provided, although especially with Carlos and Ben. While not for similar reasons on Carlos's part, as I am fortunate to not have gone through the lose of a loved one to drug overdose/as well as being shunned out of the household for my orientation and sexuality, I can sympathize with the needing to shoulder others burdens, and the need to take care of others can oftentimes get in the way of my own self care. My relationship status, even after the help I've gotten from others and myself, is also sadly much more in tandem with Carlos and his previous ones.
Now I don't want to write a full fledged essay, but I just want it to be known that everything that has been written, drawn, storyboarded, brainstormed, and produced here has influenced me greatly. Enough to make me create an itch account at 4AM EST and try to reach an old high school-esque word prompt, and enough to make me cry on more than several occasions now. This visual novel, is truly a masterfully articulated saga. With from what I have been able to interpret with Carlos, will only leave me with a newfound respect for the individuals pouring their effort into this beautiful project, and a new outward look at life and inward look at my own character. I cannot demonstrate and provide you all with a more specific way of knowing just how much this story has impacted me (That tiger is just such a cutie ^v^). I will more often find myself looking back at this and needing to relive the experience I have had reading, and having the opportunity to lose myself in the imaginary world I have created for your muses in my head.
I am also admittedly jealous at the character design. The diverse cast, with lots of secrets to them and many layers, just like how onion Carlos has. I appreciate the species that were involved in this novel and love how you all don't sugarcoat their problems, and show that not everything will be a happy fairytale ending, and that the real world hurts, and bitter truth stings.
Soaking all of this in, I am left with a massive amount of respect for the creators behind this visual novel. I could generally go on a long, very badly punctuated rant about every little niche thing I noticed and loved about this project, but I am an eepy fellow and must now take a small nap to dream of what I have been able to enrich my brain with now :D. And if I had to be honest, this IS the most well thought out and impactful FVN I have, and will more or less likely, will ever read. Many props to stormsinger studios and kudos to you all. You are such amazing people and I aspire to amount to the narrators/artists/creators/developers/and programmers skill and expertise in their craft one day. Now I bid adieu, it was an honor to be able to experience this, Merci. <3
