Something I really liked about the soon old style of Juuichi, is his brown eyes, as it give him more soul. Would be nice to see those eyes in the new style when it releases. Perhaps it will resonate with others. Of course, I'll understand if the team has already decided to give him the original color to his eyes.
My god there was so much here, im still finding new stuff. I didn't know anything prior to playing, but im almost glad that was the case. The opening section was a little long in my opinion, but after that point i was hooked for literally hours.
Hi, I would like to know if the developers of Stormsinger have planned after the end of the game to make a small epilogue for each of the characters ? (a bit like in the fan game morenatsu 2) , because we will not lie to each other in the original project, the fact of not knowing what happens after the end of the game are very frustrating, I'm not asking for a very long story but just showing us an overview, for example the wedding between tatsuki and hiroyuki, or the life with hiroyuki and kouya part on tour with the musikus.
Sorry, I tried to download the apk of the game, but every time it reaches a percentage, it stops and says "Forbidden". I wanted to know if something is happening or is it just my internet:' Thanks
My guess would be that your device has a security setting turned on that restricts downloads and installs of suspicious files. You may have to turn that off for a moment and see if that allows the game to download
not sure what phone you have, but on Android you can simply go into the browser apps settings. Look for a line item called something like "install from Unknown Sources" or "Install Unknown Apps." Just make sure that box is check on, and if that's the issue that should resolve it for ya.
Man, why does it hurt so much... At this point I feel like I want to spend time with Tora instead of Kouya... I have this hard guilty pressure on me on his route. :c
I dunno why you're being downvoted for sharing your opinion. Personally, I always saw the old Tora sprite giving off the vibe of a goofy and clumsy Tora (which was fine, but not getting a Tora route in the original game was just cruel).
The new sprite gives off the vibe of a more mature-ish and not-as-goofy Tora. And since this time we'll be getting a Tora route, maybe you'll grow fond of his new design.
To be honest only thing i would criticize is that hiroyuki isnt human. I think it breaks that feeling of nostalgia from original morenatsu. It annoys me a little. Otherwise it is good VN.
Eh since they removed his face out of the game, I don't mind that much anymore. I do have some theories of why he is an artic fox in this revisited project but it makes no sense into speculating here and probably offending the people who are working hard on the game. Even if half of the story already exists I am noticing original text from the writers, hell, if the story was a copy/paste from the original they wouldn't have to spend months making the routes ready, so yeah.
I am more annoyed with certain characters changes, but it's fine, they want to elevate every single character to an age that makes this game feel like it's a game for adults, not for Japanese people who like shota.
I do hope that some of the more simplistic end routes feel better in this game, such as Kouya's, I was always annoyed on how his route was one of the easiest, even if he was at the time one of the most interesting characters (the work they are doing with Torahiko is also pretty good, he went from my least likable character to one of my favorites here).
Now about Hiroyuki being an arctic fox, I do think they need to make something more with him too. There must be a reason why everyone likes him, in the original the reason was sole that he was different from everyone else. Now that you elevated him from a human to another furry character, he needs to have something, and who knows? As long as the writers remember adding Hiroyuki's own struggles during the end route of any character, giving him vulnerabilities just like the other characters have, maybe he will become a better character overall. We'll see.
I agree with you, I don't understand why they changed the race of hiroyuki to make it a fox, for me it's as absurd as changing the race of torahiko to make it a crocodile for example.
Considering they finished the last day event with mostly everyone on the last day at the camp, I believe the next update will add more sprites, probably for Kyouji and maybe someone else, and add their routes there. That could take the same time as before, between 2 or 3 months? Who knows. As far as I know, they have other VN's to work with and this one is the only one they cant charge money to produce. So I doubt we'll have a finished route by the next update.
For some reason on day 15 of Shun's route, Im getting Torahiko sunset scene and it even says at the end that I reached Torahiko's route even though it should be Shun's, am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch?
Just came by to check if there's an update and boy was I elated to see one! But I will say, the new sprite of Soutarou seems... So far from the other one that I'm getting a sort of weirdness from it? Does the sprite change mean that Soutarou is now as tall as Torahiko? Albeit, I haven't played the newest update yet and am just saying this based on the new screenshots from the build so for all I know, I might grow to love the new sprite like how I did with Torahiko's and Kouya's. Just left my few sentiments about the sprite change before I play the newest update because Soutarou IS my favorite among the cast haha.
(This is in no way an attack to the team nor artist, just to be clear. I think the art looks great and it's just the difference between the two sprites that surprised me)
Heya! I'll copy /paste another comment I left as it addresses the issue you've brought up:
"Soutarou is indeed taller in this sprite. He was very small in the original due to him being more of a shota type character, and while we didn't keep that characteristic in Revisited, he ended up looking fairly small due to how the sprites were rendered onscreen. With the new sprites, we're making everyone take more real estate on the screen, as well have decided to represent Soutarou being aged up by making him look his actual age, and so the difference might seem a bit stark compared to the other unfinished sprites."
So, long story short, he's indeed taller but for two very different reasons, and would have appeared taller even if we had kept him at the exact same size as our previous version of Soutarou.
I do think his taller appearance fits him more as he appears in Homecoming personally, hehe.
Just played through his route and I gotta say, the new sprite grew on me fast! The only issue I saw was the occasional instances of him still being referred to as small haha but I assume that's going to be rewritten/omitted in future builds.
Anyways, thank you for the amazing work you all did! Love the way the game is improving in story and art with each build.
Is ther a way to download a new version of the game with all of the progres of the version befor it?
I mean i plaing on the endroid and every time i download the new version it come as a new app so i got 2 version of homecoming and the new version frome the start.
Also im not good in english so if i have misteks pleas tell me.
And it is apparently even sticky. I haven't played Morenatsu for the last few updates since it started full screen and there did not seem an option or a preference to run windowed every time.
Small thing but important for user interface for even stupid folks to know that it can be made to run windowed every time instead of wondering.
I just completed a playthrough of Tatsuki, and experienced a glitch to comedic effect. It's more than likely due to me doing a bunch of back and forth of each page to remind myself if context etc. and confusing the game, tbh, so I don't think it something that needs fixed.
Anyway, I had the chat with Juuichi at the bus stop where you start to dig into his interests, and his pop up says "Juuichi is enjoying this." For literally the rest of the game, that pop-up just stayed there haha! It just kept making me giggle, like when I was having very heart felt conversations with Tatsu, and I guess Juuichi is somewhere behind a bush like "hell yeah Nishimura, you've got this!" I friggin' love this game!
Also just as a random side note, of all of the updated sprites when compared to the originals, I simply LOVE Juuichi's the most. The differences in his facial expressions are so subtle yet significant for his reserved character. It makes it so every time I get a smile or a blush out of him, I feel a bit proud and giddy haha. Seriously, amazing work folks!
Sorry for my late reply. I lost all my data and had to create a new itch.io account. Would nice to see at least this Juuichi style's smile made it to the future style he will have. Also like the idea of Hiroyuki training with Juuichi like you mentioned me two months ago.
I'm eager for 2022 to see how Juuichi looks! Also in (speculation) mid 2022 (after Kounosuke's finished route) how in his act 2 route we will see him slowly open more to Hiroyuki. Our poor bear never got much days to spend with. Thankfully this fanmade project is giving him more depth and perhaps, more sweet and juicy moments.
I'd definitely love to see more character/relationship building moments for Juuichi on the first two acts, it's sad there are so few compared to some other characters. That said, it does kinda fit his very serious and reserved nature to not really go out of his way all the time to just hang out. He's very dedicated to his training basically every day, and it take sup most of his time. I'd love for Hiro to try and get involved in his training actually that would be a cool development! But the small number of encounters does make the small moments like the night you go enjoy the fireflies with him all so much more special.
Yes and no. More implied than anything at this point, with just barely cropped casual nude scenes (just above the goods) and provocative gestures (looking at you Tatsu, you handsy dragon, you). I like that it's a bit drawn out, makes it so the relationship building is deeper and will make the NSFW content far more meaningful, I feel.
here to say that i love this game and that i hope for more Haru content in the future </3 yes i made this account just to express my love for Haru. good day!
Hehe, glad you like. He, like everyone else, will be getting a sprite update in the future, but I can guarantee that you will be seeing more of him. As for how his interactions play out, you'll have to wait and see.
This glitch exists on all versions and often relates to moving too quickly/reversing through the content. It seems to be an issue with how Ren'Py loads additional messages. Generally it can be fixed by saving, exiting the application, relaunching, and then reloading the save. I am investigating what causes this but at the moment, it is low priority.
For some reason the app crashes randomly, even when disabling transitions which helped in the Torahiko's update. In case it helps, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab aa tablet from 2019. I love the new models though, and can't wait to see how the others will look in this style! 😄
I'm going to have to disagree with some of the people in the comments. The new sprites are great! The old ones were fine too but, they felt less Morenatsu and more St. Lucia, and while there's nothing wrong with that (St.Lucia is pretty cool so the concept of Homecoming using it's art style itself never put me off initially but still) , I LOVE the new direction they're going with! Also, according to what I've heard, it's less time consuming for them to make the game with the sprites in the way that they are now, so that's a plus in my opinion
I agree so much, the first sprites were amazing! New ones have an old-ish after taste, tora for example, I'm under the impression that he is constantly squinting.
Gonna have to agree with this. The new sprites, for what they were, was a bit of a change, but I think this was something that gave them a bit more identity in the end of the day, making them less tied down to the original in that regard. It's a shame to see that artist's work go to waste.
The new ones feel like fanart, and not nearly as refined as the originals.
Thanks for the feedback! I understand it's a controversial change, and everyone's opinions is valuable to us, but the changes were made both to revert some (very) unpopular design decisions, as well as make the art more manageable to Nova and I. The old sprites were a lot more time consuming than we foresaw them ever being, and we both decided to change them to something more easily manageable. In doing so, we changed a few design elements here and there (but kept some of our own design ideas, like Kouya's earrings) and the changes have been for the most part welcomed by players.
I understand an art style shift mid project is upsetting for a lot of people, and as a small team, it was a hard choice to make, and we ultimately decided it would be the best course of action if we wanted to be done with the project within a reasonable time frame. Please understand we're trying our best to accomplish our vision and satisfy as many people as possible, and that sometimes mean we have to make hard decisions. This was one of them.
I can absolutely understand that, but please hear me, it's not just a petty complaint (as you can see by my the dislikes on my opinion haha), but rather something that is a bit of a criticism to the art as well. The biggest issue with the "old" sprites was that there was a bit of inconsistency with the heights like Shun being small, but he's absolutely tiny in comparison to Tatsuki, and some people felt that there were *too* many liberties taken with the characters IE, some feel that Torahiko was too skinny-- which is a mileage may vary sort of thing, but that's a refinement that can happen over time. The sprites needed to be refined as it was clear that the artist was getting the feel for the style that they wanted.
Now, the height inconsistency is going to be even more apparent because of how big they are in this version versus the original: take a look at this: Tora is a little more than half of the screen here, and almost a head shorter than Tatsuki. Now let's compare them here
Torahiko is taller now (which he needed to be as the original Torahiko was way too small in comparison), but now there's really no room left to make Tatsuki a head taller than Torahiko , much less any adults that'd be taller than Tatsuki, like his father. Tora is still less compact in build than he originally was, but he now loses the swimmer's build he had, so he feels like some sort of strange compromise between the two. People like Konosuke just straight up lost weight:
"chubby" doesn't even come to mind anymore-- versus the original ones seemed to remember that. It's not really so much that I "hate" the new ones, but prefer the old ones, because the inconsistencies feel even more distracting at this point since now they're trying to mimic the old Gamma style, but still don't *quite* look like it while still keeping the issues that some of the original ones had, and somehow bringing in new ones with the shift.
Bear in mind, this was never meant to be some sort of knock towards a shift, but rather a "I prefer the older ones because they seem less problematic." I hope that helps with what I was saying earlier.
I can understand your concerns on the sizes, but this was a move we chose to give everyone's sprites more room to shine. As you pointed out, the old sprites had wild differences in size between each other, while this one will "streamline" everyone. There will still be size differences (Aichi is still huge compared to Kounosuke), but less pronounced (no more Shun barely poking out of the dialogue box).
Do keep in mind everything we're doing as of now is a work in progress. There's a likelihood we'll revisit everyone's individual sizes once every sprite is fully implemented in the game (I have sketches ready for every character I'm working on, but it can be deceiving at times), and feedback will be taken into account then, but as of now, we'd rather leave things as they are before over-correcting in any particular direction. While you might say the sprites are more problematic now, a lot of people have said the exact same thing about our previous sprites (not a lot of people saw our old Torahiko as "fit", but rather described him as "anorexic", for example), and just as many have voiced their appreciation over the new designs. We're always willing to listen, but unfortunately, everyone has an opinion and we do have to make our choice at a certain point.
Finally, I'd disagree on Kounosuke not being chubby anymore, having drawn him myself. Maybe his stance covers that a bit, but I'd say he looks similar, if not ever so slightly heavier than our previous version, especially when the clothes are off, so to speak.
Sure, it's more so because of how the menu sizes and general resolution base choices of Ren'py that's kind of the issue here. IE, Taller sprites are harder to do because you seem to have less height in general to work with than the original Morenatsu engine (I forget what they used).
I'm aware. That's the reason I was trying to give feedback ahead of time so it's easier to notice from a "non-dev" perspective. I figured feedback would be useful in general.
It's not really chubby. He's just kinda averagish in body type.
OG sprite is a bit pudgier. And the revamped one takes it to the point where I wouldn't say he's chubby anymore.
Eh, I do like Kouya's new design, I don't like Tora's though, for the same reasons, Kouya's original design was very good, so going to a design closer to that is good. But Tora's original design doesn't feel good for me, it's goofy and just strong for the sake of it, for someone who only swims his body should be fit and good-looking, not bara-like. But even so, It's understandable to change the style. Because the old style was very inconsistent, Kouya's design wasn't that good compared to others, and at least in this new closer to the original one, they are kinda looking like all of them are drawn with the same quality control in mind.
I won't come here asking for a re-design again for Torahiko, I do prefer his previous design but then again, I prefer a cast that has the same feel to them rather than a cast where half of the characters looks good and the other half looks bad because of a lack of consistency. As long as the other images in-game such as sex scenes and other scenes feel like they were drawn by the same artist that would be good for me. That's a thing in almost all VN's I play, at least the furry ones: The sprites and the cutscenes appear to be drawn by different people, that's why Kouya looks one way in the sprite and completely different in the scenes on his route on the original Morenatsu. xD
Anyways, I know you don't like it, so just do it like me: Save a print of the sprite you like, and keep it in your heart. If they are saying it's better and easier for them to work with the new spirits, let them do it. I prefer to see this game finished rather than canceled because they need to keep with a level of detail and workload way too big for them to finish this.
yall why do they look 10x better than before suddenly did they change kouya or am i seeing things? edit: ahh it didddd i just checked.. i remember it was hard for me to look at kouya before cause he looked so different, omg lemme start playing thisss
So, I notice Torahiko's sprite is different, maybe that isn't new since I haven't downloaded a new build since 6 months ago, but I like how it looks! There's some issue with the scaling though, Torahiko looks a bit too tall, maybe it's the other sprites that are the problem? I don't know.
All characters were changed to be juniors and seniors in high school from what I heard; since it is apparently common in Japan (Due to how their school year starts and ends at different points in the year than the west) for Juniors to turn 18 their junior year and for seniors to start the school year 18 and turn 19 before graduating.
You commented on another post. However, the bug you've found, I can confirm as an issue with Ren'Py. Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall? You will lose your progress, but it should hopefully fix the issue.

español?
I am a Japanese speaker.
I searched for a Japanese patch for this game, but couldn't find it.
Does anyone have a Japanese patch?
I'm still new to English.
Sorry for the poor English.

Whenever I'm doing a Non Tora route, I have to fast forward past that particular dialogue. It break my heart too much...
Me too :/
i rly dont want to offend anyone but i dont like the new torahiko sprite,i liked the one that was before

true..him being human just felt right, could imagine ourselves in it. everything else is perfect its just things like that feels weird
loving Kouya's route, looking forward to Shun next. but, any idea when a route will be finished?

Oops nevermind after redoing his route and choosing a different option I got it sorry about that ^^;
I have a question. Will Ten's route be in Homecoming as it was in Morenatsu Revisited? I love to see an upgrade of Ten's route
Just came by to check if there's an update and boy was I elated to see one! But I will say, the new sprite of Soutarou seems... So far from the other one that I'm getting a sort of weirdness from it? Hoping that the setting to run the VN windowed can be restored.
Or put in if it was never there.
Thanks.
I believe the hot key for that is F. If that doesn’t work, Alt+Enter works too.
Yes. It is.
And it is apparently even sticky. I haven't played Morenatsu for the last few updates since it started full screen and there did not seem an option or a preference to run windowed every time.

I hope that 2022 will be a good year for everybody working on and playing this beautiful game.
Happy New Year to you as well!
awesome and great game too love it :3
Heemm.....immm...consufed....morenatsu revisited and homecoming??? @_@....
Homecoming is the name of the game, Morenatsu Revisited means that it's a work based on the Original Morenatsu but it's not the same game.
ahh so im playing original too???...but im not download original one heem

I'm just here to say that Uncle Takeshi is so attractive and I wish to see more of him in future updates
Oh, he will be around quite a bit more. Just wait until we get an actual proper sprite for him. Hehe.
same here too
Is ther a way to download a new version of the game with all of the progres of the version befor it?
Is ther a complete build of character?
No completed routes rn
Is there actually any nsfw content at this time?

There was though but not no more they might get added back in later on I'm guessing.
Actual NSFW content will be added during Act 3. So, please look forward to it. We're not quite there yet.
Uh, there is a glitch on the iOS version where sometimes the charm-point messages won’t go away.
Is it planned that the next patch will include the camping trip, or will it be like the beach event where you dedicated an entire patch to that event?
For some reason the app crashes randomly, even when disabling transitions which helped in the Torahiko's update. In case it helps, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab aa tablet from 2019. I love the new models though, and can't wait to see how the others will look in this style! 😄
Just wondering, are there any complete route O.o
nope not yet they are developing day by day in each build
I'm going to have to disagree with some of the people in the comments. The new sprites are great! The old ones were fine too but, they felt less Morenatsu and more St. Lucia, and while there's nothing wrong with that (St.Lucia is pretty cool so the concept of Homecoming using it's art style itself never put me off initially but still) , I LOVE the new direction they're going with! Also, according to what I've heard, it's less time consuming for them to make the game with the sprites in the way that they are now, so that's a plus in my opinion
Hey quick question, is there still NSFW content in this game, or has it been removed?
Yeah, I can't seem to toggle it no matter the content settings.
Hey, Devilizer here!
Cheers,
Dev
Hmmm...
"Not chubby", eh? For Japan, Kounosuke is actually quite fat. The clothing we've given him does a better job at masking it.
I prefer to see this game finished rather than canceled because they need to keep with a level of detail and workload way too big for them to finish this.
also is the mc human still?
No. Hiroyuki is an arctic fox, which is one of the changes we made when first starting Homecoming.
yall why do they look 10x better than before suddenly did they change kouya or am i seeing things?
edit: ahh it didddd i just checked.. i remember it was hard for me to look at kouya before cause he looked so different, omg lemme start playing thisss
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, IT HAS COME
So, I notice Torahiko's sprite is different, maybe that isn't new since I haven't downloaded a new build since 6 months ago, but I like how it looks! There's some issue with the scaling though, Torahiko looks a bit too tall, maybe it's the other sprites that are the problem? I don't know.
I get confused by the age of each characters...
Cause in the wiki they all are 18- (only Tatsuki seems 19...)
There are some changes? Or they are still underage? (Outside of Japan)
All characters were changed to be juniors and seniors in high school from what I heard; since it is apparently common in Japan (Due to how their school year starts and ends at different points in the year than the west) for Juniors to turn 18 their junior year and for seniors to start the school year 18 and turn 19 before graduating.
So nobody is underage anymore.
Wait. What happened to my comment on a bug I found?
You commented on another post. However, the bug you've found, I can confirm as an issue with Ren'Py. Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall? You will lose your progress, but it should hopefully fix the issue.
