Hey guys!

First off, we’d like to apologize for the incoming gap between this build and the next. Not to try and justify ourselves, but working on both Homecoming and Santa Lucia in December (alongside work, commissions, and general end-of-year festivities) really took a toll on the both of us. A toll we did not realize had set in until the middle of January, as we both experienced signs of burnout.

As a result of this, we both decided we’d take February off (which seems to have become a common occurrence for us, strangely enough). We will be posting January's Patreon build publicly today (March 1st), but the next public build won't be available until May 1st. This break should allow us to recuperate and come back stronger on the April 1st for our patrons when the normal update schedule will resume.

On a lighter note, we’ve focused both our efforts on the writing this time, making the update a tinge meatier than usual. Bryan’s route continues with two additional days, one being centered around Russell and Chris taking a day trip with Ben. What will those three get up to? Whatever happens, it’s sure to get Ben’s mind off his interpersonal troubles, at least for a while.

Art wise, I’ve unfortunately not been able to produce any art that can be made public for this update. I’ve been swamped under commissions and a nascent burnout which I’ve been trying to work around (very tough, as some of you can probably relate). However, you can expect some nice things in the next build, as I’ve had some ideas I’ve been wanting to iterate on on top of the usual spritework.

That should be all from us, and once again we want to thank you all for following and supporting the development of Santa Lucia. We’ve come a long way, and the finish line has never seemed closer. Just a few more miles in this marathon!
