Hey guys!
Here it is. We’ve reached it. Build 42, the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe and Everything. It’s pretty staggering to look back and see how far along we are now.
We concepted a lot of the events happening in this build almost four years ago, and seeing them come to life feels almost… unreal. We expected Build 42 to be a long one, but this update became hands down one of our longest yet. Writing it was a veritable roller-coaster, and I hope you can all share a similar experience reading it. I don’t want to say too much and risk spoiling anything, but I look forward to everyone’s reactions!
On the art side, after Russell’s sprite revamp last month, I felt that Zach would be the perfect follow-up to the lion. Zach is a real sweetheart, and I’ve tried to capture that aspect in this new version of the sprite, while remaining faithful to the original vision. I want to say “mission accomplished”, but we’ll see what everyone thinks!
Oh, there’s also a new CG. But you’ll know it when you see it, hehe.

As I usually say, wouldn't hurt always wear some knifes with you. And a segment of office knife razor in the boot, of course.
I was really hoping things were going to go positively between Ben and Bryan... I'm glad it finally got there. It sure took an interesting way of getting there though... I was kinda scared, at first.
Firstly, I have nothing to do with that pirate forum. Secondly, I corrected the rating, which I put up earlier on emotions. Thirdly, right before you banned me, I wanted to delete my comment and leave beter one, because I realized that I was wrong, but you decided to bann me. If you decide to ban me, let me fully delete my comment first at least. I sincerely apologize.
Thank you for this, and for reversing your rating. I'm sorry for how I acted, too. I guess we both ended up acting on heightened emotions without all the facts. I just saw someone coincidentally posting the same sort of thing at around the same time as you and assumed you were one and the same.

That day 27 ending was certainlly... huh.
OMG! I love this update so much!!! Bryan is now my second favourite character, only slightly short of Carlos. I love the character development for both Ben and Bryan in this update so much.
Chris got some amazing development, I love it! What happened to him was kind of unfair and I hate it, but it fits in with the theme of, USL sucking major ass! Especially Thomas, like he went from irrelevant background character to “OMG why is Russel the big bad and not this piece of shit”. Blake isn’t much better since he doesn’t seem on planning on kicking Thomas out of the frat for everything he has done and all the pressure that both Bryan and Kane needed to put themselves through just to save Ben from his crap.
I love this update so much, it touched my heart so much, and knowing that this was act 3 for Bryan, Carlos is next and I can’t wait to see what they have in stock for one of my two favourite tigers.
Don’t give up on yourselves and don’t call your writing full of it, because it’s not, this is the only VN I can realistically recommend to anyone I know and for that, and the S-tier writing, story-telling and characterisation, and the efforts to make it into something everyone can enjoy, Santa Lucia is now my favourite Visual Novel, above DDLC, Echo and Adastra. Don’t give up on your two projects and don’t lose faith in your quality because you’re so underrated in the furry VN community in my opinion.
There is an issue with the current PC build. There is no -32 version, and the game won't open or form a log .txt file. This issue was present on build 41 as well. I hate to bother you, but can you (the devs) resolve this, please?
I looked into it and it turns out the lead developer for the Renpy engine has discontinued all support for 32-bit systems. Unfortunately, this seems to be completely out of my hands. Sorry about that! ^^'
